Sierra Wireless Compass 889 modem brings style and the most compact HSPA design to Sierra Wireless’s line of USB modems. This portable solution is just 65 mm (L) x 25 mm (W) x 13.5 mm (H) and is ideal for home office or notebook computer use.

The Compass 889 modem offers an expandable microSDTM memory slot, laptop clip accessory and TRU-InstallTM – Sierra Wireless’s automatic software installation experience for both Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X users.

TRU-DurabilityTM, Sierra Wireless’s rugged hardware design, has been built into Compass the Compass 889 modem, ensuring our products are quality built and can deal with life on the road.

With Receive Diversity on the 900 and 2100 MHz bands, the Compass 889 is optimized for a more stable and stronger connection on global HSPA networks.

Sierra Wireless Compass 889 owners will enjoy top speeds up to 7.2 Mbps downlink and up to 5.76 Mbps* uplink and will have the freedom to roam globally on HSPA networks.

The Compass 889 operates on the 900 and 2100 MHz bands. In areas where HSPA is not available, the Compass 889 is backwards compatible to EDGE and GSM/GPRS networks (850,900, 1800, and 1900 MHz).

The Compass 889 include TRU-InstallTM, Sierra Wireless’s plug-and-play software installation experience. A CD is no longer required so you’re up and running in fewer steps and less time.
