Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc (SONY ERICSSON XPERIA ARC)
Overview of Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is the new flagship Android device from Sony. Featuring a massive 4.2" Sony Reality Display and Sony's Mobile BRAVIA Engine, this uniquely shaped handset is designed to deliver the richest multimedia experience possible.
Sony is yet to hit the mark with a mainstream Android device, but with its top of the range specification, the Xperia Arc could well be the device that puts it in the spotlight once again. Comparable to devices such as the HTC Desire HD and Samsung Galaxy S, the Arc combines Sony's electronics expertise with the best features currently available in a smartphone.
The Arc features the latest version of Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), which is currently only available on the Google Nexus S. It also packs a 1GHz Qualcomm processor, 8MP Camera with Sony's Exmor R photo technology, HDMI out port and the ability to record 720p HD video.
Being an Android device, the Arc has access to Google's suite of services and also features Sony Timescape, a custom UI that organises messages, emails and status updates. Also included is DLNA capability, a 3.5mm audio port and GPS, with Sony's Wisepilot turn-by-turn navigation.
With a cutting-edge feature set and its sleek 'Arc' design, this new Android handset from Sony is one of the hottest smartphone designs out there.
